Maryn Hurlbut has worked in Information Technology since 1967, with experience encompassing:

  • Strategic planning

  • Infrastructure architecture and design

  • Business process and technical requirements definition

  • Project planning and management

  • Focused facilitation

  • International virtual office technology

  • Managing multiple cross-functional teams

She has also addressed national audiences and authored courses on information technology and organizational topics. Maryn has designed and managed the implementation of many IT architectures and application systems for billion dollar companies. She has been responsible for the design and implementation of decision support systems allowing emerging technologies to interface with legacy applications.

While living in New England, she consulted with the health care provider community in support of office management systems practice and procedure solutions for physicians, clinics and dental practices.   Since 1987, As Founder of Technology Affiliates International, (http://tai.org), she led the success of each design and implementation in accounting, manufacturing and HR software systems customization and support.  Currently, she is the CEO of TAI, where design and the creation of applications for mobile and cloud technologies is the focus.   Maryn is the author of the TAI METHOD™, the collaborative project life cycle methodology for the 21st century.  

In addition to currently serving on the board of Technology Affiliates International (TAI) as CEO, she has been president of the Home Owner’s Association for Gwin Estates (Oakland Hills) and Treasurer of the Seacliff Home Owners Association in Point Richmond.   She has been appointed a Commissioner on the Richmond Recreation and Parks Commission

My Goal as a productive retiree:  I wish to contribute my expertise as project manager and executive to support a cost effective and efficient operation for our neighborhoods and ther businesses in our community.  I want to continually participate in the planned improvement of our surroundings while maintaining and improving all our financial and personal health.   I want to continue to participate in my lifelong activities of flying, sailing, scuba diving, skiing, swimming, tennis, travel and giving back what I can to my family, friends and community. And most importantly, I want to continue to improve as a loving wife, homemaker, mother of 5 sons and auntie to many nieces, nephews and grand nieces/nephews.
